Spinning British Wool

I decided I would try spinning British wool when World of Wool had their Black Friday deals.  I was able to get 20% off of my order and it made sense to try fiber I hadn’t spun before.  If I don’t spin British wool, it is mainly because I don’t think it is soft enough.  I had ordered some roving from WOW and some carded batts from Benridge Woolworks.  I have already written about all of my spins, but I thought you would like to see all of the yarns together.

I will only be using the alpaca, the BFL from WOW, and the kid mohair in wearables.  However, I will be using all of these (except the kid mohair) in a tapestry.  Out of all of the above, the BFL from WOW was the softest, then the alpaca.  I have more British wool on my wish list, so I just need another sale to get some. 🙂
